Tonight is the "supermoon." It's supposed to be bigger, brighter, etc., because it's closer than normal, but it just did not look significantly different from any other full moon to me. It was a very nice full moon, don't get me wrong, but boy, the news folks sure do try to make a really big deal out of things that aren't as significant as that green Ford Fiesta in the commercial where the guy claims, "It's a really big deal."
Yeah, I was excited to see it too. But it was pretty overcast here too until a couple hours after moonrise. Got some good shots, but nothing out of the ordinary.
Well it looked bigger in Texas. :) Then again, everything does. Granted, I don't usually catch full moons minutes after sunset, so I have a limited comparative ability on this one.
I am a retired nuclear engineer. I've been looking through one kind of viewfinder or another since I was about 12 years old. I've finally decided, in my retirement, to learn how to take a photograph.

Great Shot! I thought about trying a few moon shots, but the moon was behind the clouds here

Perfect image! Too much cloud cover, rain, now snow for us to see this event.
