Down Side Up

I'm sure one of the cardinal rules of flying aircraft is to land with the down side down.  That does not apply to dragonflies, however.
It was windy at the beach and this one took refuge under the roof of our patio.

I love that green. Wonderful photo.

I walked up to my car earlier today and saw a really interesting, reddish brown and gold, shield shaped bug. It was a good size. I knew better than to pick up a bug I'd never seen with my bare hand, so I used my keychain. Good thing too, it squirted something at me but missed me and got my keychain! Wish I'd had my camera on me.

Nice shot of this dragonfly....I am reminded of the Paul McCartney song.
