Hanging In There

The Valentine's Day Roses are hanging in there and looking nice.

American Goldfinch

We have had a ton of goldfinches swarming our feeders recently.  I think they've been watching Channel 6 and know the cold weather and icy rain will be here soon, and it's like the bread aisle at the grocery store.

Well, it's that time of year! Valentine's Day Roses. They are worth entering in the 52 Photos Project this week, which is Fragrant/This Smells Heavenly.

January Christmas

Our pink Christmas Cactus is in full bloom at the end of January.

Nandina

A widely cultivated Asian evergreen (purple?), but these grow wild in my woods.  Bird droppings, I guess.

Sycamore

The white sycamore bark shines through my woods in the winter.

Winter Hydrangea

These do not drop all their flowers in winter.  Some just sort of dry up and turn white.
