2 Things Challenge: Abundant/Emptiness

The current 2 Things Challenge is Abundant/Emptiness.  This is a spring time photo of the big dipper, along with a number of its neighborhood stars.  You may have to look closely to pick it out, the handle starts above that darkest tree in the middle.  Between here and there are a few things like those trees and the vapor trail, but mostly it's a vast expanse of abundant emptiness.

A vast expanse of abundant emptiness....I love that thought, although, when I look up to the sky I never see it as empty. There are as many stars in the sky as there are sand grains on all the shores. There are planets and plenty of God's angels flying around up there.
Oh don't get me wrong, Larry....I love your night time sky photo....you've really captured the stars as I see them. : )

Yeah, Vivian, I agree there's a lot of God's stuff out there, but since the NEAREST star is about26,000,000,000,000 miles away (that's 26 trillion), it would be a while before we ran into any of it. Except of course the angels.

Great shot. I was thinking of doing the same thing, but astro-photography is something I don't do well. Thanks for sharing.
